Based on the memes I saw going into the New Year, I think I am not the only one who was ready to turn the page, but also cautious about getting too caught up in grand pronouncements about 2021.
Some people don’t do resolutions. Or perhaps they use different language to identify and articulate their intentions for the future.
Even those who may have been accustomed to making resolutions in the past may feel understandably reluctant to set big intentions or goals for 2021 as we are still in the throes of a global pandemic, and many are still recovering from or still deep in the thick of grieving losses that occurred in 2020.
Heck, many of us are now also trying to recover and make sense of what happened in the Capitol last week.
Some are still in survival mode. If that’s you, keep going. Left foot. Right foot. Breathe. Repeat. You are not alone.
As we continue to navigate realities that we never imagined we would face, I put together two pieces of content to support you:
- In Episode 57 of the podcast, I focus on the idea of recalibration, and what YOU can do to find presence in the chaos, and stay rooted in your well-being.
- In this post on Instagram and Facebook, I explore the interconnection of values and well-being. **Spoiler alert** you cannot maintain one without the other.
Even as we stay informed and passionate about leaving the world better than we found it, it is imperative that we stay grounded in well-being practices that support not only our values, but our capacity every level.
Holding space for love and light,
Booth
