Hustling for my worth almost killed me.
I used to treat my body like it was the enemy or like a robot whose job it was to perform at 150% day in and day out. I would get really cranky when my body didn’t do what I thought it should do.
Eventually, my body got really cranky with me and shut me down.
What I have learned is that at the very heart of creation and creativity, innovation and growth is a cycle; of growth and rest, exertion and recovery. These cycles are naturally built into the way our bodies function. And the way our businesses function.
It is easy to feel anxious or afraid when we go through a period of contraction after a period of expansion or when we feel like we are wandering in the desert not sure where we are going or why.
But learning and trusting that these cycles are very natural, allows us not to hold on so tightly, and to find more joy, and presence and peace in the journey.
